Department of ECE - Overview


The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of St. Ann’s college of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2001 with an intake of 60 students. The department is having talented and dedicated faculty members and the majority of the faculty is ratified by the JNTUK, Kakinada University. The department is having state – of – the art laboratory to enrich the students in field of Electronics & Commination Engineering. The Department was headed by Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu, Professor.
The Department is offering B.Tech. , Electronics & Comminication Engineering with an intake of 240 and M.Tech. in two specializations as Digital Electronics & Communication Systems (DECS) with an intake of 18 members and Embedded systems (ES) with an intake of 24.

The Department was accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ grade and NBA twice. The faculty of the department was involved in research publications and conferences at national and international level. Presently, the Department is having 43 teaching faculty with Three Professors, Five Associate Professors and Thirty Five Assistant Professors and 7 non – teaching faculty. The Department faculties are the members of IEEE, ISTE, IETE and all the students are the members of IETE student chapter. The Department is organizing events every week to explore the inner talents of the students by an organization Eminent Agile Force (EAF).
