Two-Day Workshop on “Financial Education on Securities Market” Successfully Concluded at St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala
St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala, successfully conducted a two-day workshop on “Financial Education on Securities Market” for MBA students, as announced in a joint statement by the college secretary, Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao, and correspondent, Mr. Srimanthula Lakshmana Rao.
Principal Dr. K. Jagadish Babu mentioned that Dr. V. Narendra, a trainer from the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), Mumbai, attended the workshop and provided insights into stock trading to the students. MBA students from both first and second years actively participated in the workshop and gained extensive knowledge about stock trading. Dr. R. Emmanuel, Head of the MBA Department, stated that the workshop was highly beneficial in enhancing the students’ understanding of stock trading.
Dr. V. Narendra explained the primary, secondary, and derivatives markets within India’s financial markets and elaborated on how SEBI’s regulations safeguard common investors in stock market transactions. Additionally, a quiz on financial education was conducted for the students. He also emphasized that pursuing certification courses offered by NISM can enhance their employment opportunities.
Dr. S. Chand Basha acted as the coordinator for the workshop, which saw active participation from the faculty of the MBA department.
