St. Ann’s Polytechnic Students Selected for State-Level Project Expo

Vetapalem, December 16 (Andhra Prabha): The Secretary of St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao, and the Correspondent, Mr. Lakshmana Rao, announced that the Polytechnic students from the college have been selected to participate in the State-Level Polytechnic Project Expo.

The Principal, Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu, stated that the Polytechnic students won First Prize at the Regional Polytechnic Fest held recently at the D.A. Government Polytechnic College, Ongole, for their project titled “Automatic Staircase Light Control Using Arduino.”

In this regional event, 56 projects from 11 private colleges were showcased, and St. Ann’s College presented 11 projects, with this particular project securing First Place and receiving a cash prize of ₹25,000.

This award-winning project was developed by ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) second-year Polytechnic students Vikas, Chandra Manikantha, Y. Gauri Shiva Sai Prasad, and S. Lokesh, under the guidance of faculty member CH. Bhanu Sri.

Dr. K. Vijayabhaskar Reddy, Deputy Director of Polytechnic, announced that the project will be showcased at the State-Level Polytechnic Fest in Vijayawada, scheduled for January 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2025.

In addition to this project, five other projects from the college have also been selected for display at the State-Level Expo.
