St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala Team Wins at State-Level Shuttle Badminton Competitions
The Polytechnic students’ shuttle badminton team from St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala, emerged victorious in the state-level competitions, as announced in a joint statement by the college secretary, Vanama Ramakrishna Rao, and correspondent, Y. Lakshmana Rao.
The team participated in the Inter-Polytechnic Sports and Games 2024 (IPSGM-24), recently held at D.A. Government Polytechnic College, Ongole. After winning at the district-level competitions, they competed in the state-level event in Visakhapatnam, securing the winner’s title, as stated by the college principal, Dr. K. Jagadish Babu.
The winning team included Kavati Rishi (2nd-year Diploma, ECE) and Mukkala Surya Kiran (2nd-year Diploma, EEE). The college’s physical education trainer, Mr. Annam Srinivasa Rao, mentioned their participation and achievements.
A felicitation ceremony was organized to honor the winners, attended by the college’s Deputy Director (Polytechnic), Dr. K. Vijayabhaskar Reddy, Administrative Manager, Mr. R.V. Ramana Murthy, department heads, faculty members, and students, who congratulated the shuttle badminton team on their success.
