St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala, has launched a 3-day workshop on Building Information Modeling (BIM), jointly announced by the College Secretary, Sri Vanama Ramakrishna Rao, and Correspondent, Sri Y.S. Lakshmana Rao, in a press statement.
The Department of Civil Engineering is organizing the workshop from 01-09-2025 to 03-09-2025 for B.Tech students, informed the College Principal, Dr. K. Jagadish Babu.
The sessions are being conducted under the guidance of Dr. Balasubrahmany Mahesh, Head of the Department, Nikhner University of Construction Studies, Hyderabad, said Dr. T. Kiran Kumar, Head of the Civil Engineering Department. He added that the workshop will provide students with insights into Building Information Modeling (BIM) along with practical demonstrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. C.S. Rao, Director (R&D and Accreditations), emphasized the growing importance of BIM in the field of Civil Engineering. He stated that students focusing on this domain can achieve excellent career opportunities.
The workshop is coordinated by Mr. M. Praveen, and 3rd-year and 4th-year Civil Engineering students are actively participating in the program.
