On 15th September 2025, Engineers’ Day was celebrated at St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala under the aegis of the ISTE Student Chapter, commemorating the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. This was announced in a joint statement by the College Secretary Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and Correspondent Mr. Srimanthula Laxman Rao.
College Principal Prof. K. Jagadeesh Babu lauded the remarkable contributions of Sir M. Visvesvaraya as a Civil Engineer to the nation and expressed his hope that students would dedicate themselves to developing innovative ideas that benefit society. On this occasion, students highlighted the life history of Sir Visvesvaraya and the significance of the various projects designed by him.
The program was graced by Mr. D. Prasad Rao, Executive Engineer, R&B Division, Bapatla, Mr. P. Chandrasekhar, General Manager, Kaveri Engineering Projects Ltd., Hyderabad, and Ms. D. Nalini, Deputy Engineer, R&B Division, Chirala, who shared their messages with the students.
As part of the event, Dr. C. Subbarao, Director (Accreditations & R&D), and Mr. R. Ramanamurthy, Administrative Manager, participated and presented prizes to the winners of various competitions held on the occasion of Engineers’ Day.
The program, organized under the guidance of Dr. P.V.S. Sharma, Secretary, ISTE, witnessed the active participation of department heads, faculty members, and students.
