A two-day workshop on “Smart Fabrication: Exploring 3D Printing and IoT Technologies” was successfully conducted at St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala, as announced jointly by the College Secretary Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and Correspondent Mr. Srimanthula Lakshmana Rao.
Under the auspices of the Internet of Things (IoT) Department, the workshop was organized for B.Tech students to provide hands-on exposure to modern fabrication technologies. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu, Principal of the college, stated that IoT plays a vital role in the modern era of computer technology and that 3D printing has brought revolutionary changes to the manufacturing sector. He emphasized that complex models can now be developed and tested in a short time and at minimal cost. He also encouraged students to enhance their understanding of 3D Printing and IoT software technologies to secure excellent career opportunities.

Dr. Y. Indraneel, Head of the IoT Department, mentioned that the workshop was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Vutukuri Ramakrishna, Senior Developer, and included practical sessions where students learned to identify and solve real-world problems using smart fabrication and IoT techniques.
Dr. V. V. Praveen Kumar served as the Convener of the workshop. Dr. C. Subba Rao, Director (Accreditations), along with various Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students, actively participated in the event, making it a grand success.
