St. Ann’s College of Engineering & Technology Students Win State-Level Volleyball Championship



Students of St. Ann’s College of Engineering & Technology, Chirala emerged as winners in the State-Level Volleyball Competitions held at Y. S. R. K. R. Engineering College, Bhimavaram, during the “Jaitra–2026” State-Level Sports Festival.

In a joint statement, College Secretary Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and College Correspondent Mr. Y. Lakshmana Rao announced that both the men’s and women’s volleyball teams of the college secured first place in the prestigious tournament.

The Principal of the College, Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu, stated that in the men’s volleyball category, the team competed against 20 teams from various colleges and emerged victorious in the finals by defeating Swarnandhra Engineering College, Narsapur to claim the championship title.

The men’s volleyball team comprised R. Ramana, G. V. R. Teja Reddy, Rajaratnam, G. Michael, K. Dani, K. Sai Kumar, Naveen, Aditya, and Deni Venkata Mani Kumar, as informed by the Physical Education Lecturer, Mr. Annam Srinivasa Rao.

In the women’s volleyball category, the team competed against 16 teams from different colleges and won the finals by defeating the team from Sri Vishnu Engineering College, securing the championship. The women’s team members included K. Anita, K. Uma Maheshwari, Nishitha, Bhoomika, Sushma, Manasa, Harika, Pravallika, Sravanthi, and Rikkila, according to Mr. Annam Srinivasa Rao.

Cash prizes were awarded to the winners on this occasion.

During the felicitation ceremony, Administrative Manager Mr. R. V. Ramana Murthy, Dr. C. Subba Rao (Director – Accreditations), heads of various departments, faculty members, and students congratulated the volleyball teams for their remarkable achievement.
