St. Ann’s Management with Winners of VTM-3 Cricket Tournament



The JNTU-K Kakinada Central Zone Men’s Cricket Tournament is being conducted at St. Ann’s College of Engineering & Technology, according to a statement issued by College Secretary Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and College Correspondent Mr. Srimanthula Lakshmana Rao.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada Central Zone Men’s Cricket Tournament, which also serves as an Inter-College Tournament and University Team Selections, commenced at the college on Monday, said College Principal Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu. He informed that the tournament is being conducted over a period of three days.

On the third day of the tournament, Dr. Tulasi Ram from Tulasi Hospital, Chirala, and Dr. Srikanth from Poorvi Scanning Centre attended as Chief Guests and formally inaugurated the matches.

In the matches held on the third day, the first match was played between St. Ann’s College of Engineering & Technology and VSM Engineering College, Ramachandrapuram. In this match, St. Ann’s College of Engineering & Technology emerged victorious. VSM Engineering College, after opting to bat first, scored 68 runs, while St. Ann’s College successfully chased the target by scoring 69 runs, winning the match by eight wickets, informed Physical Education Lecturer Mr. Annam Srinivasa Rao.

He further stated that the second match of the day was being played between GIET Engineering College and Loyola Engineering College.

On this occasion, the management of St. Ann’s College congratulated the winning team, appreciating their performance and sportsmanship.
