St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala has launched a workshop on Chip Designing, as announced in a joint statement by College Secretary Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and Correspondent Mr. Srimanthula Laxman Rao.



The workshop, organized under the joint guidance of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), commenced on 17th September 2025 (Wednesday) for second-year B.Tech. students, informed College Principal Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu.
Inaugurating the workshop, Dr. D. Rajendra Prasad, Head of the ECE Department, emphasized the growing importance of chip designing in modern electronics. He mentioned that practical sessions would be conducted as part of the workshop, enabling students to design and create chips.
Mr. M. Uma Maheswara Rao from APSSDC interacted with the students, providing insights into chip designing and guiding them in hands-on practice for chip creation.
The program is being convened by Dr. C. Subbarao, Director (Accreditations & R&D), Mr. R. Ramanamurthy, Administrative Manager, along with Mr. N.V. Raghava Swami, Mr. Y.S. Ravindra, Mr. Y.S. Sai Sandeep, and Mr. G. Koteswara Rao.
