On the occasion of National Service Scheme (NSS) Day, St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala organized a seminar, as jointly announced in a press statement by the College Secretary Sri Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and Correspondent Srimanthula Laxman Rao. They appreciated the enthusiasm of students who, along with their academics, actively participate in various service activities such as extending financial support to those in need during times of distress.
College Principal Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu stated that in the coming days, NSS students of the college would continue to expand such service programs, inspiring every student to become socially responsible and participate in community welfare. He also mentioned that the college organizes blood donation camps twice every year, with around 100 students donating blood in each camp.
NSS Program Officer Dr. Deevi Jyothi Swaroop expressed gratitude to the college management and Principal for their continuous support in organizing various service activities through the NSS unit over the past 20 years.
College Director (Accreditations) Dr. C.S. Rao highlighted that under the NSS banner, the students have been actively conducting free medical camps, extending financial aid during natural calamities, and regularly organizing Swachh Bharat programs in and around the campus, thereby standing in the forefront of social service.
On the occasion of NSS Day, under the leadership of Program Officer Dr. Deevi Jyothi Swaroop, NSS volunteers visited Desaipet Old Age Home, where they donated two bags of rice and distributed fruits to the elderly residents. The program was coordinated by Mr. S.K. Meeravali and Mr. B. Vinod Babu.
