Students of St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala participated in a Zoom meeting on Quantum Computing with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu. This was stated in a joint press release by the College Secretary Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and Correspondent Shrimanthula Lakshman Rao.




The Principal of the college, Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu, informed that the students actively took part in the interactive Zoom session held with the Hon’ble Chief Minister. Addressing the students, Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu explained that while Quantum Computing is a single concept, its applications are vast and span multiple domains.
He expressed his vision that by 2047, Andhra Pradesh should emerge as the number one state in India in the field of Quantum Computing. He highlighted the significant role Quantum Computing will play in areas such as quantum applications, data centers, ecosystem development, and the green energy sector. He emphasized that with the right knowledge and application of Quantum Computing, it is possible to achieve remarkable advancements.
The Chief Minister encouraged students to work hard, strengthen their careers, and aim to become global leaders in the next 30 years.
The Zoom meeting was attended by Dr. Ch. Harikrishan, Head of the AI & ML Department, other Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students of the second and third years of the AI & ML department.
