St. Ann’s College of Engineering & Technology organized a Guest Lecture on “Software Engineering Beyond the Classroom” for the students of the AI & ML Department, informed the College Secretary Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and Correspondent Mr. S. Lakshmana Rao.
The guest lecture was conducted under the aegis of the AI & ML Department. Mr. K. Samba, Software Engineer at Flipkart, attended the program as the Chief Guest, said the Principal of the college, Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu.


Insights Shared During the Session
During the lecture, Mr. K. Samba explained the importance of Cloud Computing, highlighting how real-time applications are managed on cloud platforms and how scalability can be achieved efficiently. He also elaborated on the importance of API keys, their role in integrating various applications, and the security precautions to be followed while using them.
He further spoke about the opportunities in the field of Machine Learning and its applications across industries. Emphasizing industry requirements, he explained how choosing the right programming language based on project needs plays a crucial role in successful software development. He also guided students on how to grow in the software industry beyond classroom-based theoretical knowledge.

The session included an interactive segment where students’ queries were clarified in detail, as stated by the Head of the AI & ML Department, Dr. C. H. Harikrishan.
