The JNTU-K Kakinada Central Zone Men’s Cricket Tournament is currently being conducted at St. Ann’s College of Engineering & Technology, Chirala, according to a joint statement issued by College Secretary Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and College Correspondent Mr. Srimanthula Lakshmana Rao.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTU-K) Central Zone Men’s Cricket Tournament, which also serves as an Inter-College Tournament and University Team Selection, was inaugurated at the college on Monday, 19 January 2026, said College Principal Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu. He informed that the tournament is being conducted over a period of three days.
In the matches held today, the first match was played between Kallam Harinatha Reddy Engineering College, Guntur, and Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology. In this match, Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology emerged victorious. Kallam Harinatha Reddy Engineering College, after opting to bat first, scored 136 runs, while Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology successfully chased the target by scoring 137 runs, winning the match by two wickets, informed Physical Education Lecturer Mr. Annam Srinivasa Rao.
He further stated that the second match of the day is being played between PVP Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada, and Universal Engineering College, Guntur.
