The 77th Republic Day celebrations were conducted with great enthusiasm at St. Ann’s Group of Colleges, Chirala, according to a joint statement issued by College Secretary Mr. Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and College Correspondent Mr. Srimanthula Lakshmana Rao.
On this occasion, College Principal Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the Indian Republic and the values enshrined in the Constitution of India. He urged the youth to understand the rights granted by the Constitution and to shoulder their responsibilities with commitment in order to play a crucial role in the nation’s development.
Addressing the gathering, Principal of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. V. V. Nageswara Rao, emphasized that the youth have a vital role in shaping the future and development of the country.
On the occasion of Republic Day, prizes were distributed to students who emerged victorious in various competitions conducted as part of the celebrations.
The flag hoisting and ceremonial proceedings were conducted under the supervision of Physical Education Lecturer Mr. Annam Srinivasa Rao.
The programme was attended by Dr. C. Subba Rao (Director – Accreditations), Mr. V. Dora Naga Sainadh (Director – Administration), heads of various departments, faculty members, and students.
