Blood Donation Camp Organized by NSS at St. Ann’s College



A blood donation camp was successfully organized on Wednesday at St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology under the auspices of the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit. This was jointly announced by the College Secretary, Vanama Ramakrishna Rao, and Correspondent, Srimanthula Lakshmana Rao.

The camp was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that blood donation is the greatest of all donations and is equal to saving a life. He appreciated the students for voluntarily coming forward to donate blood and highlighted that such noble acts help save lives during emergencies.

On this occasion, B. Mahesh Babu, a final-year B.Tech student from the Civil Engineering department, was honored for donating blood voluntarily 10 times.

More than 100 students participated enthusiastically and donated blood in the camp. Doctors and staff from the Government Area Hospital, Chirala, including Dr. Raja Selvan and Blood Bank In-charge U. Tirumala Rao, took part in the camp.

The camp was organized under the guidance of NSS Program Officer Dr. D. Jyothi Swaroop along with NSS coordinators. The event was attended by Dr. C. Subba Rao (Director – Accreditations), Vanama Dora Naga Sainath (Director – Administration), heads of departments, faculty members, and students.
