A week-long workshop on “Application of Advanced Tools in Land Survey” has commenced at St. Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology, Chirala. This was jointly announced by the College Secretary, Vanama Ramakrishna Rao, and Correspondent, Srimanthula Lakshmana Rao.
The workshop is being organized by the Civil Engineering Department from March 16, 2026, for B.Tech students, as informed by the Principal, Dr. K. Jagadeesh Babu. The program is being conducted in collaboration with Unique Survey Solutions, Vijayawada, under the guidance of T. Prem Babu, said Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr. T. Kiran Kumar.
During the workshop, students will gain hands-on training and awareness on advanced land surveying tools such as Total Station, Trimble, GeoMax, and DGPS equipment. Addressing the gathering, the Principal emphasized the importance of land surveying in the field of civil engineering and encouraged students to develop expertise in modern survey tools to enhance their career opportunities.
At the inaugural session, Director (Accreditations) Dr. C. Subba Rao, Director (Administration) Vanama Dora Naga Sainath, along with faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department and students, participated in the program.
